This exhibition serves as a meeting point for three Oslo based interdisciplinary artists: Esra Düzen (TR/NO), Tanja Thorjussen (NO), and Taru Kallio (FIN/NO). The artists share an interest in the interplay of microcosm and macrocosm, drawn to realms beyond the visible, where the miraculous and connection emerge. Their work explores both material and spiritual dimensions, weaving personal and mythic threads sourced from history, family stories, and nature.

Tanja Thorjussen will present the new body of work Metaxy Apeiron which explores the liminal and in-between stories in a space and time without limits. Inspired by biology, astrology, archaeology and science as well as animals, insects, bodies of water and funghi, Thorjussen conjures visual imagery of possible futures and forgotten mythologies.

Esra Düzen will present textile works and an installation that reinterpret and repurpose ancient symbolism in dialogue with personal histories.

Kallio will show a series of tempera paintings that have their starting point in her research in the blue pigments.

Esra Düzen (b. 1983) is an Oslo based artist working with drawing, textiles, installation, and performance to explore the roots of alienation in our society. Her work investigates how the loss of ancestral knowledge, myths, and our connection to nature disrupts a sense of coherence and belonging.

In recent years, Esra has had a solo exhibition at Ram Galleri, Swarm Flux, and participated in group shows at Østfold Kunstsenter, Buskerud Kunstsenter (Østlandsutstillingen), Tegnerforbundet, Bomuldsfabriken Kunsthall, and Høstutstillingen. In 2024, she engaged with around 400 students across Oslo through Høstutstillingen’s children’s program, discussing her work in relation to the theme “Care.” She holds a BFA from the Oslo
Academy of Fine Art.

Tanja Thorjussen (b. 1970) is an artist living in Oslo (NO). Her artistic medium spans between drawing, sculpture, performance and art in public space. Through speculative research her artistic practice revolves around how ancient art and nature can inform the present.

Tanja Thorjussen and Thale Blix Fastvold in the artist duo LOCUS, is currently showing at the Helsinki Biennial with the works Zostera Marina`s song of increase created to celebrate and increase Zostera Marina (common eelgrass) in the Baltic Sea.

Previously, at the exhibition «Eden and Everything After» at Museum of Archaeology – UiS in Stavanger (NO) in 2023 Thorjussen created artworks about historical objects from thecollection, speculating on its meaning through artistic methodology such as drawing and intuitive listening.

Thorjussen has a BFA from KHIB in Bergen (NO) and Parsons The New School in New York (USA) and is educated as a curator from Telemark University.

Taru Kallio (b. 1986) lives and works in Oslo. She holds a BA from Lahti Institute of Fine Art (2011) and an MFA from Bergen Academy of Arts (KMD, 2017).

Her work explores humanity through storytelling, drawing on myths, narratives, and the collective unconscious.

Recent shows include Galerie Casas Riegner, Bogota (2025), LNM, Oslo (2024), Tm Galleria, Helsinki (2023), Tegnerforbundet (2023, 2020), Kunsthaus Hamburg (2020), and Hordaland Kunstsenter (2017). She is a co-founder of The Living Print- collective
